My name is Susanne Hoogwater. I am a creative entrepeneur, lawyer and visual artist. I approach legal communication with a combination of conceptual thinking skills and a dynamic creative perspective.

My expertise is based on twelve years of legal practice in the Netherlands, five years of creative entrepreneurship and ongoing training in art, creative thinking, information design, graphic facilitation, and visual communication. I started my own business in legal information design in 2005, Legal Visuals. Goodmoodlaw and Peacemapping are my newest innovative projects.

I am the author of ‘Beeldtaal voor juristen’ (release of the English edition, titled
‘ Legal Information Mapping’, is scheduled for 2010).

Pioneering and cross-cultural sensemaking is a familiar experience to me, since I am also an expat-entrepreneur. I live with my husband and two children in the Denver area, Colorado, United States.
