My name is Susanne Hoogwater. I am a creative entrepeneur, lawyer and visual artist. I approach legal communication with a combination of conceptual thinking skills and a dynamic creative perspective.

My expertise is based on twelve years of legal practice in the Netherlands, five years of creative entrepreneurship and ongoing training in art, creative thinking, information design, graphic facilitation, and visual communication. I started my own business in legal information design in 2005, Legal Visuals. Goodmoodlaw and Peacemapping are my recent  projects.

I am the author of ‘Beeldtaal voor juristen’ (release of the English edition, titled
‘Legal Information Mapping’, is scheduled for 2010).

My training in graphic recording & facilitation skills includes training from Christina Merkley in Canada, an internship with Alchemy Business Consulting and ongoing hands-on practice and self-study. I am a member of the International Forum of Visional Practitioners IFVP.

I live in the Denver area, Colorado, United States. I provide live graphic recording services for national and international meetings.
